Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
There's a difference between opinion and fact. You're wrong. You have **** fitment, and because of that, you had to get **** tires with a garbage contact patch that will decrease handling, decrease acceleration, and increase braking distances.
But please, keep telling us how "cool" is more important than safety and performance. Then check what section you're in, and head off to the appearance/cosmetic forum, and the wheel/tire forum. You might find someone to hump your leg there.

Took the Front lower tie bar off my 2000 LS parts teg and painted it Milano Red before installing it on the CX. Also made a harness with the two brown OEM single wire connectors where the 94+ already come with one for the fog light setup. THe one that came with the kit was cheap looking spade connectors and a inadequate guaged wire that got warm when the fogs were on.

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
Got my Del sol seats installed into my EK in about an hour.
Really like the way they feel over the OEM EK seats, they feel lower, & offer more support.
Now to tackle the RSX retrofit.
Not sure how they'll feel, keep hearing how they sit higher, don't really want that.
Really want leather fronts, but @ what cost...

Wondering how you plan to get the fronts in as I've only ever heard of one other person ding it the way I am and it's supposed to help them sit lower like stock.

Did you ever do this? I have the rear in. It was cake. Just swap the metal seat pans on the backs and voila. The fronts are gonna get done, in my case, by drilling out the rivets that hold the sliders to the EG seats and welding them in place of the stock RSX ones.

Currently working under the hood.
"No replacement for displacement..."
Got my RSX's on the market to help fund my build.
I hear the best way to get them low is the get aftermarket rails.
Good luck with the retrofitting, make sure to post pics when you're done!

Someone decided it was was a good idea to use d series mount bracket on this ls swapped ek coupe.
Bolts holding the bracket on sheared off and the engine fell. Torque mount location on trans broke too. Axles and oil pan destroyed.
pulling the swap. Gonna tig the case back together. Try to extract the broken bolts.
And swap a y8 back into the car to sell it.

Because weight on the front tires equals traction; Nos bottle on the dash.
This is a mock set-up with a 15lb water injection tank.

Well I got alot of looks for sure on the first ride home!
I decided to blend it into the dash with some interior black vinyl. This is the trial wrap to lessen the shock.
So far, every boddy likey and me too. I build it for me anyway.
I have been this strange for decades. I love custom cars.
You should see my bass ball installation. This set-up hits right and is out of the way in a tiny DelSol.

I realize this area is for the civic but since it was asked of me.....I finally got a chance to get out and fudge around with the teggy. No spark at the plugs, power to the positive terminal on the coil, no spark from the coil. So I know what I'll be doing throughout the week. Although it's annoying to not have a running car, it's fun when you find things that make you laugh along the way. Enjoy my $500 purchase

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
Spent the day sourcing parts for motor assembly / turbo build. Got ARP head studs, turbo manifold,Aluminum Radiator and hoses, chipped PO6 ECU, locally.
Mail ordered Cometic Head Gasket, ACL bearings.
Machine shop called, block is done, block guard in, bored, final honed, Vitara pistons on the rods, Head done.
Over Christmas vacation I plan on teaching my son the finer points of engine assembly, gaping rings, assembling the bottom end, port matching intake to head, stud and head install/ torquing.
Still need to get Turbo and Intercooler, oil cooler, and install my classic Stewart Warner Stage II oil, temp, amp gauges in the car...... Sure do appreciate him working and me getting some O.T.
