I will try to keep this short. Customer's car comes in, not charging, mil on. Pulled codes for O2 sensors, given the age and mileage both O2's were replaced. Alternator also replaced. Still no charge, mil on. Now not only Codes P0135 & P0141, but also P1298. Using MOTOR diagnostic charts, replacement of ELD, and ECM/PCM has been done. Still no charge, mil on, Codes P0135, P0141 and P1298. The scanner I'm using is a Kal Equip 9620, for the P1298 it states manufacturer control fuel air metering. All of my books state Electric Load Detector circuit high input for P1298. ??? Anyone with any idea of where to go from here? Customer needs car to pass smog (no mil on) and has given the go ahead for whatever it will take. The car runs fine.
