There are lots of symptoms, too difficult to narrow down. What issues are you having??

Some commons would be engine shutting off, lots of bogging.

Honda says replace the fuel filter when the fuel pressure drops below the set pressure. So, you need to check your fuel pressure. If it's OK then it's probably not the pump or filter. Never hurts to change the filter though.

fuel filter should be changed every 15000 miles on ANY vehicle in the USA.

S2000 doesn't even have a replaceable fuel filter. I mean it does but, it's in the fuel tank so, regular replacement's not in the cards.

The filter should be replaced every 4 years or 96,000 km (60,000 miles), whichever comes first

per honda

i still recommend sooner than that.

interesting,

thing is, most cars have 2 filters, the normal replaceable one,
and then there is also one in the tank @ the end of the pump.

sounds like the s2k simple comes without that regular filter.
or perhaps honda located it in the tank along side the usual fuelpump filter.

Yeah, you're thinking about the sock that sits on the fuel pump. I suspect the S2000 has both the sock and the fine injector protecting filter in the tank.
