Re: starter cut relay???? (KtHaNxBai)
According to the Helm Inc. Manual for the 96-00 Civic (Chapter 23)...
The Starter Cut Relay is a 4-pin Relay found above the Under-The-Dash FuseBox.
For 96-97: It's to the left of the where the Moonroof Switch should be.
For 98-00: It's below the Dash Lights Brightness Controller (Dimmer), near where the Foglight Switch should be.
All 96-00 models should have a 4-cavity connector (C414) with BLK/WHT, BLK/WHT, BLU/BLK, BLK/RED wires leading to it from the left side of the Main Wire Harness.
The problem is that people often interchange the terms "Starter Cut Relay", a term used by The Book, and "Starter Kill Relay", which is usually an aftermarket and/or home-made addition. I'll try to remember to take pictures tomorrow...
Sorry it took so long for an answer...

Re: starter cut relay????
I just confirmed the same general mounting location (under dash, near moonroof switches) and same connectiot wire colors for 92-95 Civics. Source was a combination of the Hanes manual wiring diagram [section 12-17, zone 3B] and a YouTube video clip.

Re: starter cut relay????
The starter-cut relay on my Honda Accord LX Wagon (1997) is mounted to a bracket with a nub (like the PGM-FI relay is), but I would rather take mine off at the bracket but I cannot get the nut off. Does anyone know if it is truly a 10mm nut? Could it be a different size? I just can't tell when I'm under there - I can't get the nut off.
I don't know, perhaps I could try the nub approach - it worked for me for the PGM relay, but this is harder to get to I think. I might try locking pliers again - there's hope since I used WD40 yesterday. I'll try that for now.
