i think it might be a del sol? I could be mistaken, but in most civics I know that you gotta take the seats out to get the side panels out, and you have to take the top and bottom seat belt bolts out too..... good luck...

Yeah that's it...so I guess it's clipped then, huh? Maybe no good puttin the woofer on there, cause with the extra weight, if I ever run into something, not likely but possible, I'll have that thing flyin around.

Not too fond of them Boxes....Want to keep the speaker slots, cuz if I do sound I do nice clear sound.....and cuz of that puttin it in the trunk isn't really an option....
Thinkin bout maybe goin a lil bigger on the project then, securing the panel by extra screws and then fibering a nice custom slot for two 8" woofers on top of there. That way I can keep the two lil compartments and don't have anything flying around

Re: (Dirrrty T)
sounds nice show some pics when done ;] IMO sols have such small "cabinets" or space where we actually sit and drive even w/o a woofer nice speakers is usually quite loud enough. Also performs decent quality, guess u wanna break windows huh ;]

you'll lose the use of your rear window. It'll be stuck up all the time. Pull off the plastic piece on top in the middle. It just clips in. then you need screws to take off the side pieces and bottom section. Under the bottom is your gas tank, so be careful where you cut there. Behind the back wall is your window. you have about an inch and a half behind the metal before you hit glass. If you cut out that rear wall, your window will be stuck up, but you can fit a sub there. I don't know how much this will affect the structural integrity of the car, but it doesn't sound like you'll be out road racing or autocrossing it, so you should be fine. If you do this install, also plan on covering that wall with dynamat, because it'll rattle like hell if you don't.

i have a sol and to take the rear console off there should be a middle piece where you can use a flat head to push it out. theres no blots or anything. after you taken it off you can screw the rest off.

then all you need is a phillips head screwdriver. its the only tool you need to get that big *** back plastic piece out. You'll find 2 screws connecting it to the center console, and a few screws at the bottom of each storage compartment holding it in. Then there are 2 more behind each of the seats. the back section just clips in, just like the piece above it. You don't have to remove the 2 side pieces that hold your 6.5" speakers to get the bottom out. Good luck on your box.

Re: Sol...How do I remove ...? (Dirrrty T)
This is what Im using right now, cant say I care for it, the added bass isent worth it IMO I'm gonig to take it out when I get money for some better rear speakers that can hit harder and run those instead. For now tho its working pretty nice.
