shorted battery to fuel filter (no start)
Hey guys, im having a little problem solving a no start that start from me accidently shorting the battery to the fuel filter.
So heres the deets:
95 civic dx
d16y8 using obd1 harness and d15 IM
stock rebuilt engine (ran fine)
5 speed
no cel codes before this happened or after. (CEL works)
I go to turn my car over, and it displayed the symptoms of a dead battery. i open the hood and saw my positive terminal was loose. I grab my ratchet and went to tighten the nut on the terminal and one end of my ratchet made contact with the fuel filter, caused quite a big spark and freaked me out. I made sure i was careful tightening the terminal again and got the battery terminals tightened down. I go to start my car and thankfully I have power to everything, headlights/radio work, except my car will crank over yet will not catch. My guess was the ECU may have been fried, but im not too sure since i have spark and fuel pressure. compression has not changed. car was running smoothly before i made contact to the fuel filter from the positive post.
So heres what ive tried:
-Each individual cylinder has a strong spark.
-Fuel is present.
-All fuses in the underhood fuse box are good, none are blown.
-tried a known working ecu
Is there anything I could diagnose to get the car to start. Once again EVERYTHING was working fine until i shorted the battery to the fuel filter top banjo bolt.
Thanks in advance.

Re: shorted battery to fuel filter (no start)
Not to shoot your suggestion down, but i dont have a fusebox diagram although i can google it, but if im not mistaken most engine control fuses would be under the hood. I will check those when i get home from work, wouldnt hurt to try

Re: shorted battery to fuel filter (no start)
There are two or three fuses under the dash that will prevent the engine from running. Simply check them all. When you turn the key on and don't try to start, the oil and battery lights should light up, and the check engine light should come on and go out, also the fuel pump should run (listen closely) while the CEL is on and then stop when it goes out. Does all of this happen?

Sorry for the delay, we have been short staffed at my job and rotating 12 hour shifts. I will be dedicating this weekend to problem solving.
First things first, i will pull the fuel rail along with injectors to see if they spray. I will update momentarily

Re: shorted battery to fuel filter (no start)
Injectors are NOT spraying. They sprayed very weakly from the little fuel it had in the rail, I guess the first time I checked for fuel it must've been residual pressure.
