Default shifter rattle...

my shifter rattles when i go over 4.5 rpm. it's not hitting anything. i've gone under the car 3 times and tightened everything over everytime. what could be the problem? it's a DC short shifter...

it could be your exhaust if your jacking the car up unevenly it moves the exhaust around when your car is up on one side if you know what i mean mean did it too i just heated up the hanger and bent it prob solved

when it's in gear....
rubber piece has already been changed to the ES bushings....
can't be my exhaust because i also double checked when i went to the exhaust shop. it was lifted evenly...


anymore ideas? should i relube the shifter? will that help?

mine was like that and it turned out to be the shift **** rattling, I had a all metal ****

mine rattled a lil too, it was because of the little like plastic or metal ring on top of my shift boot, hitting the shifter rod or whatever u wanna call it. Dunno if that'll help but o well, i try

it can't be the **** because i just changed it into a skunk2. before that i had a stock one. both rattled.

Tighten the bolt that holds the shifter to the linkage...did that and I have no more rattle
