Which sensor did I break? D16Z6
The 2 sensors going into the cylinder head just under the distributor.
The one circled in red - I broke the green wire off it and it broke so damn close to the plug I have no idea how to reconnect it. Anyway, I'm guess ECT? Or is that the blue, which one is the blue circled sensor?

It's a temperature sending unit, if I'm not mistaken.
Did the wire break off right at the end of the plug that the sensor goes into? If so, look up one of DeSchlong's many writeups on something electric-related, and in several of them he talks about how to depin a harness plug. If you can get the pin out of the plug, then you can strip the rest of the wire that you broke off and just crimp it back in place. Voila! That wire will be maybe 1/2 inch shorter, but what the hell. Give it a shot.

One circled in red is the ECT. Gotta fix that, or your ECU will keep the engine management in cold loop.
One circled in blue is the sending unit for the temp gauge in the instrument cluster.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up guys.
Yeah, broke off right at the tip of the sensor. I couldn't find the write up you mentioned but I can see what your saying, I'll give it a shot and see what I can do.

search deschlong in the website and find any post or threads by him. It has a link to his diy page in his sig and from there you can find any one of his electric accessory oriented writeups and he has an in depth section on how to depin a harness. Definitely worth a shot and from there you can either splice the wire back together or (if it's corroded) just cut out the old wire and crimp the pin back place.
