.:: Save the SOHC? ::.
Save the SOHC? Or drop it, and go for a DOHC?
Here's the options for a swap I want to perform on a Civic coupe:
1. JDM D15B - (SOHC VTEC motor: ~130HP) - full swap $600 CAD
2. B16A2 - (DOHC VTEC motor: ~160HP) - full swap $2000 CAD
Note:
-Vehicle is a daily driver
-Do not want to go with a B18C, B18C5, H22A, B20Z, etc. (not crazy about speed with this car - it is afterall a Honda)
-With rising gas prices, and this being a daily driven car, I'm inching towards the D15B, just because there's no need for premium gas fill-ups
What do you guys/girls think is a better option? Opinions welcome and wanted.

if its only a daily driver why not just put in the single cam? I mean..if you have no plan on doing anything but using it as a daily driver and not a project car...go for the single cam

sohc give u kick....
dohc gives u pure power...
for a d/d that u dont want to go speed crazy, sohc will do it. and then later, if u want speed, u can always turbo it.
turbo SOHC > N/A DOHC
turbo B18C1 > all
