An intake manifold? Thats just a piece of aluminum, shoudlnt affect idle. Look at it, where it meets the throttle body. Does this one use the Idle AIr Control Valve ON the intake manifold? The opening for it should be the same on both manifolds, thats All I can think of, is that something is blocking it. Did you run the same coolant tubes through the throttle body? DId you adjust the throttle cable properly? and CAN a civic idle at 300rpm? That sounds like dying speed. youd feel that. ANy more info? BTW, I did the y8 Mani swap, so I know this ****, tryin to help ya. ANy pics of that manifold? Maybe the vacuum idle is different from the Brake booster.

hmm ryan thought about just moving the throttle cable some so it has more tension ?

Well, your problem is not the throttle cable, so adjuisting the idle higher wont fix the problem, that could make it worse. Like it might do somethin like add more gas and run rich, or cause some other wear. Fix this problem properly, a crap fix; you will pay for it in the long run, cause it could make somethin else worse. Not to critisize you, this may work, but from a engineering point of view, don't do that, the engines computer is designed to run a certain way. Have you reset the computer by disconnecting the battery for 3 minutes? Whats your manifold on there now? and take pics of this skunk manifold, id like to see. close ups please, of the TB opening, runners, etc.

if the intake mainafold is taking in to much air or is really to spec with the engine then the idle will drop the intake mainafold is probaly alot bigger then the original. what is the air to fuel ratio. probaly way above styiometric, which means you are probaly running real lean. you should check all this.

Clean your plugs, then check your O2 Sensors. O2 Sensors will tell the car whether or not to run richer or leaner. Then, get all that carbon out with some sea foam cleaner, search for that, EVERYONE will vouch for it.

P.S. A different manifold, assuming no leaks, will not cause that low idle, as its just a big hunk of aluminum. Problem is more likely to be related to the throttle body and IACV. It could have been something related at the same time.
