Replacing exhaust on 97 HX.
Ok so I decided to take my heat shield off of my manifold and saw the huge crack on the exhaust manifold. I was about to have my catback replaced since it has rusted through. So I am going with a WS2 knockoff for 250, I need the cheapest solution for the exhaust manifold replacement. I will be selling the car come summer so... Will this combo here work fine other then extending the second o2 sensor?
Header/cat cheapie on ebay.

the WS2 knockoff

Will using that header and getting the EX exhaust work on my HX? As long as I extend the O2 sensor? If not I need cheap solutions for manifold all the way back.

The ex header will work, just reuse all of the old hardware/o2 sensor.
The 1st link is crap. That is not a cat, its a tube. AKA a test pipe.
Look for a OEM manifold/cat and use that.
Second link, isn't terrible. I have heard decent things about that echuast. However, I won't reccomend it.
Normally when you find rep's they are low quality, peices of ****. You will be much better off header to a muffler shop, getting a OE type muffler, and having them make the mid pipe for you.

Re: Replacing exhaust on 97 HX.
just so you guys know, I am aware it is just a test pipe. That is all I need. I don't need the cat cause we don't have emissions here. So other then calling it a cat I just need it so the exhaust fits properly. Remember my stock unit is the manifold and cat built together.
So you guys are saying that those 2 products I linked together will work in replacing my full exhaust on my Civic HX? Cat built into stock manifold

Re: Replacing exhaust on 97 HX.
yes my car is a 2dr.
ok gonna order them up, will be installing myself have welding equip available if any mods are needed for hangers and such will be able to take car of it all.
my car now is so loud as the whole mid pipe is basically gone from rust, cracked my oil pan and when it hit my exhaust it tore it apart lol. Oil pan is all fixed now to fix the exhaust.

They should fit.
My brother got an a cat back+h pipe for his 90 mustang, flow master rep muffles for $290
It's possible, you just have to look around.
It doesn't need to be stainless, or mandrel bent.

if you want an Exhaust, get SR-S. I bought one years ago and I LOVE it. It used to be ebay exclusive only, but now all of my local performance shops carry this brand. They stepped up with their company. Also, don't pay 200 + 50 dollar shipping for it, make an offer because I was able to pay 175 SHIPPED for the exhaust, but that was before they expanded their business.... so don't expect to get the price that I got.
