removing front seat... wire connected to seat?
i was removing my seat and when i tried to pull the seat out i heard a tear... it was a wire plugged into the seat?? what does this wire do? i have 92 civic dx sedan

That is right! - if you disconnect it, even if you have your seatbelt 'clicked' in, because the ECU is not getting the correct electrical signal the 'no seatbelt" light will stay illuminated on your dash...
