Rear Speaker Polarity & removing rear seat.
Car is a 1999 Honda civic Sedan
I've replaced the rear speakers (removing the rear deck is a royal pain) ), but did not do the wiring yet as I do not know which ends of the wires are positive. I need to crimp the speaker cable, but don't wan't to blow my headunit!
Another question is the rear seat. A mechanic looked over some fuel related issues for me, and didn't install the back seat properly (among other issues). It has about an inch of play in it ( i can lift the driver side up) and it doesn't line up with the backrest. I've got this diagram, but have no idea what it means! Thanks in advance!

Post pictures of the rear seat problem.
In the diagram, the lower cushion has two metal tongues (circled) that insert into holes. He probably didn't insert one of the tongues.

Thanks for the help with the speakers. They are up and running now!

In the seat diagram you posted, there's a bolt labeled D that secures the rear side of seat cushion. Remove the D bolt and then the seat cushion. Then reinstall the seat cushion properly so that both wire tongues at the front of the seat cushion insert into their corresponding holes in the body. Then you'll be good to go.

It's worse than I anticipated. They guys managed to bend the left tongue on the seat. And It won't go back into place without a lot of force (and I don't want to break the seat.)
I guess I'll use more force and/or get a used seat

New issue (fixed the seat)
Now the trunk light no longer turns on when the trunk is open. Is the trunk open sensor in the latch assembly? When I was changing the rear speakers I was lying in the car with the back seats down - my legs were in the passenger compartement and upper body in trunk.
During this, the trunk closed on me (wind ) , and I stupidly tried to open it by pushing on the inside of the latch. Is it possible I screwed up some grounding assembly?
Also, I checked the bulb, it works.

I got the trunk light working again by moving the little rod i pushed back. Now the light turns on with the trunk and turns off when its closed. All that isn't normal is that the trunk light on the dash no longer indicates. Any ideas?
