Not if you like the OEM look. I hate the way all aftermarket stereos look. Get an iPod and have the iTrip adapater. Problem solved.

i payed $80 to get mine, but there should be a number on the back of the radio, some sort of vin number, honda will give you the code if you provide a legit vin number matching the car.

They charged me about $50 for it. And I had my radio in the car when I brought it to them. Looks like every dealership is different than.

My original head unit still worked perfectly when I sold my car this past November. Car was built in September '99.

I've had my OEM 1992-1995 tape deck (yeah, I know) since I bought the car about 3 years ago. Obviously the unit is coming on 13 years old and still works fine. Right now, I have an ITR radio in my EJ1 and that one works fine too.

Re: radio trouble on 2000 civic...help (Targa250R)
i took the radio out of my dash and brough it to Honda and they gave me the code for free. I brought it to them once with the radio in the dash, they wanted 50 because they had to take the radio out of my dash to get a number under the radio that they need to pull up the code
