questions on d16z6 mini me
Hi so let me just list all the parts i have, and i was wondering if i am missing anything.
i own a 1998 civic dx. i have
1.d16z6 head (with a d16y8 cam and cam gear)
2.D16y8 intake manifold with y8 injectors and iacv, but d16y7 tb
3. d16y7 dizzy ( i understand that it needs modification to bolt on)
4. p28 chipped ECU with y8 basemap
5. jumper harness
So i was wondering if i will still have the issue with timing if i have the d16y8 cam and cam gear inside the d16z6?
Also, will the d16y7 dizzy function properly for the time being?
Does the cam in the head sit lower than a stock d16y8, thus needing a different timing belt? or would a d16y8 timing belt fit properly?
Thank you for your time guys. let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.

Re: questions on d16z6 mini me
I purchased the z6, but the cam lobes was too small to lift the rocker arms enough to open the valves (so apparently i got screwed over), so i just used a y8 cam i had laying around. does anyone know what cam the z6 came with? it has e331 stamped on it.

i made a mistake there. you'll need a z6 distributor and your y7 guts in it, for some reason i thought i read y8 head.
