Question about a salvage title car I was looking at
There a 98 accord I was looking at with a salvage title. They told me it was salvage because they had to have the front radiator support replaced. There was no damage to the engine. Would it be a bad idea to buy this car? Like is that a repair that would be questionable? I'm not one to buy salvaged cars but it looks really good and runs fine (At least from what I can tell) lemme know!

The only optimism I have is that the guy who has it now, bought it salvage title and he works on cars for a living. He's saying he would not buy a salvage title car he knew who have problems. He wasn't even originally going to sell it. But he found out I was having trouble buying a car so he offered it to me as it is their 3rd car they don't drive very often.

salvage is tricky since it can be from a stolen seats or cluster to one of those chop and paste cars, were two car halfs get welded together. you really have to look at everything very carfully. for new weld spots, etc. usally you can feel something odd when you drive on the freeway... also should check the space between tire/fenders. ive seen some where the tire is moved out, in, towards the back more etc.
