Default QUESTION

Yo people here in H-T can u give me some help in words. My girls car was running and her uncle pulled out spark plug wire from cylinder 1 and the car made a choking sound and he put it back in. He then pulled out cylinder 4 wire and he let the car shut off and died. Now the damn car won't start. I figured the cylinder was flooded so i took out all of the spark plugs and let the gas fumes evaporate for about 1 hour. Put them back in and the car still won't start. The dumb uncle then bought a new distributor and the car still won't start. It's been about 2 weeks now. Is there anything else that could be wrong that i'm missing? If there is, somebody please give me some help here? The car is a 2000 4dr Sedan Civic LX. Thanks alot guys

hmmmm..

Does it have gas?

Check the fuel pump, make sure spark plugs are working, check and see if everything is pluged in right... check fuses

yea there gas in it cuz wen i took out the spark plug i smelled gas on the spark plug, that's why i thought it was flooded. But it's been sitting there for 2 weeks. The fuses have been checked already and everything is plugged in right, the spark plugs are brand new also. But i'm gonna try to reset the ECU and see what that does. Thanks for your help dude i appreciate it.

yeah those two things will cause it to crank and not start. it can be one or the other, i ended up just doing both to mine. my car died on me on my way to work one day........cranked and cranked and just wouldn't turn over. had to leave it on the side of the road and drug it home with a chain and my dads truck when i got off and next day bought the parts and voila........started right up. hope this helps.
