Question
I have a '96 HB and got a B18C1 swap. Weird thing just happened over the weekend. First off how do you know you need your wheels balanced? I know if the steering wheel shakes that could be the cause of it. But my problem is that the whole car shakes but the steering wheel doesn't shake as much as the rest of the car. Can my tires need balancing that quick? I thought it happens gradually but if not can there any other cause of this shaking of this magnitude. Its a very noticable shaking from about 40mph and beyond. It just happened out of no where too.
TIA

Re: (Kendall)
It just happened within a short period of time. I drove on Sat afternoon parked the car and drove it again at night time and all this shaking started.

Re: (Green_Machine)
Do you happen to have snow? It can get packed into the wheels (as well as mud, dirt, etc) and cause it to feel off balance; and if you lost one of the weights, your wheel will immediately be out of balance.
Have you checked for anything loose? Lugs, suspension etc...
Also, for future reference, you should title your threads better.
