power steering pulley wobbling side to side?
i have a 97 civic and the power steering pulley starts wobbling at idle, but once i give it a little gas, doesn't matter the rpm, the pulley straightens out and looks like normal operation. but idle again it does the same thing. is this something i should worry about, and what is wrong with it? it just started happening recently, and when the car is shut off, i can't move the pulle back and forth, like the wobbling motion. thanks alot for your help.

Toss the power steering and get a manual rack, that's what I did. I had the same problem on my B16A, I replaced the pulley and it was fine. The old one looked straight, maybe it was unbalanced or something??

it started occuring after i took my power steering pump off last time to get to my timing belt. i've done this many times, and has never happened before, the weird thing is, it straightens out once it's not idling. only when it idles the thing wobbles. maybe moves about 3-4 mm in each direction. i've tried tugging at it but it won't wobble.
