Default Anyone with aftermarket power door lock actuators. Question

Morning,

I just installed aftermarket power door locks last night. They work very well and are tied into my alarm. My door panels are off right now. Car is an EH2.

Question
I tried test fitting my door panels, there are some clearance issues. The actuator presses against the door panel which causes it to not lock/unlock the door. How can I go about solving this problem?

Thanks,
George

Moun them in a different location. Where did you mount them? I normally mount them in the big hole on the latch side of the door.

I didn't run into any issues with mine. Is there some part of the inner door panel you can cut out without affecting the integrity of the panel? Or move it?

That is the exact same thing that happened to me. I never got around to fixing it because Ive been busy, but my friend that installs alarms for a living told me mount the actuator inside the door frame and make sure the push rod is inside also so it clears the door panel.

My friend and I are in the process of installing actuators on my car...he moved them like 3 or 4 times to get it to work right.....no clearence in that damn door. He ended up mounting them at the very top of the door where the hump in the door is........Here is a picture...it is a Del Sol panel, but it might work the same for you...worth a try.......

If I did that I'd have to switch the lock/unlock wires because my acutator is facing the other direction.

I got them on autoloc.com. But you can get them from best buy for a lot cheaper.
