I think my block is warped according to my measurement. The head is still off.

I'm wondering if there is a pin-point method to just remove the block only, without raising and lowering the car couple times to remove the engine. The space I'm working at is not a private property.

The block is connected to the tranny and around 5 mounts on the car. It's one whole sold piece so it has to be dismounted and lifted out. Which requires jacking up to undo the bottom mounts.

You can probably use the headstuds as lift points but make sure theres no slack and also level out it out so it won't come out at an angle. If it was an automatic you can lift it straight up and out but if its a 5spd it would probably be best to lift the block and tranny out. Reason being is because the clutch and pressure plate gets in the way of maneuvering the block and when it comes time to put it back in you have to align the clutch spline correctly or else you won't get it in the clutch properly and could damage the clutch when driving the car.

So, now that my car is stock automatic, do you mean I can separate just the block only with head studs as handles?

Never use head studs to lift a motor. That's just BEGGING for something to go wrong. There are two mount points specifically there for engine hoists - use them! Yes, you can remove the motor without raising the front end of the car, but there are a number of bolts that will be MUCH easier to get to if you get under the car.

Okay. I just checked hoisting points from a manual. To be clear for me, does the 'motor' mean block? So, are the hoisting points attached to the block itself or others? If so, can you give me a brief procedure as to how the block removal's going to proceed?
In detail, I'm willing to get under the car. I just choose not to drop the engine.

"Motor" can refer to the long block or short block assembly. The long block is the block, head, and intake manifold. Basically, everything from oil pan to throttle body. Short block refers to just the block, without the head. Everything from the oil pan to the head gasket. "Swap" generally refers to the long block plus the transmission. For all descriptors, sensors are optional. Since you think your deck is warped, I'm assuming the head is already off the motor and you want to remove just the short block.

What manual did you check? If you aren't using the FSM (factory service manual), buy/borrow/download one and use it. It has the entire engine removal and deck checking procedure written and pictured in an exhaustive how-to.
