pop, clicking sound when i push down on left front or sometimes while turning ?
as the topic says, i hear a pop or a click every time i push down my car on the front driver side ... sometimes it pops while im driving too ... what could this be ?
i drive a em1 with a stiff suspension, if that helps ...
in a previous post, i was told maybe axle or cv joint/boot, would that be it ? would that cause clicking when pushing down from outside ? and do i have to change this asap or can i ride on it a while, cuz im short on money ...

i just went to the local shop, they siad they dont fix modified cars, but the mechanic said its probably not the axle cv joint ...
from the sound he said it might be ball joint, strut/shock or control arm bushing problem ? i have had deteriorating bushings for almost a year now ... would that cause a click ? its not a constant clicking, its one click, which happens randomly ...
btw, thanks for all the info 93egsedan

i was leaning towards a bushing of some sort, or possible ball joint. When you hit a bump at the right angle you are jarring the bushing causing the noise. That was my first thought when i read your complaint. have you put it in the air to see if anything is wrong?

Here's what it is.....
The spring has some play meaning if you jacked you car up I bet you can move your spring around cause it is not pre loaded.
when you go over a bump or something, it is decompressing your suspension and the spring is falling out of the rubber boot under the top perch. It then seats right in a popping noise cause most likely it wasn't sitting properly in the boot from the bump.

i didnt raise it yet, hopefully ill have time this weekend ?
im hoping its just the control arm bushings which were already bad ...
if the spring has play, what would i have to replace ? the rubber boot under the top perch ? how much would that cost ?

Do you have a camber kit? If not, your probably destroying your upper control arm bushing. Check them, my car did the same then I got a camber kit, with new bushings, no more pops.
