Passengerside airbag. Will it deploy if i...
remove the top cover?
I recently removed the passenger side airbag from my 95 EX, and i want to reuse the vinyl cover that is on the airbag assembly.
Thing is, i don't know what will happen if i remove the "security" torx screws and bolts from it to remove the top.
Anybody try this before, or do i have to be the guinea pig?

i wouldn't risk it. you can get a tray to replace the airbag so you don't have a huge hole in you dash, plus you get JDM bling. i think inlinefour.com has them.

My friend took the pass. airbag out of his 99 si... and just put the vinyl cover back on... didn't really seem to bother anything.

As long as the airbag isn't in your car anymore it shouldn't deploy. But be careful they pack a fu**ing punch if they go off.

unless you give it a spark to the plug, it will not deploy. I removed three airbags, and removed one passenger airbag cover without any problems. Just cover up the plug. The passenger airbag without the cover has been sitting in my garage for a little over a year now.
