I just got a civic and the paint has a lot of scratches and some other spots that can't be removed. It is all over the car and I am thinking of painting the whole car. The thing is I am not sure if I should get another color. What kind of paperwork for DMV do I need to do if I am going for a different color? Usually how much does it cost to paint a whole car?

Well when I painted my car at the shop I work at I ONLY had to pay for material which ended up being about 1k so it wont be cheap, keep in mind tho I propably chose the most expensive paint I could find. $125 per qt. x4 then add clear, misc consumables, it wasent cheap. Look at my paint thread it will give you an idea of the amount of work involved. You might also want to check out maco for a cheap alternative, but you get what you pay for...
