Default P29 Pistons into D16Z6

guys, mi engine is requiring some refresh in the block and i was thinking to get some P29 pistons, my doubts about this is, is 11.62:1 a good compression ratio for it? i found a table where i can calculate it, but to get that compression ratio i put 0.050 in the headgasket thickness ir order to low the compression ratio since it was in 12:05:1, take into account we are talking about tune it and everything.

also i was see it the PM3 with the same thickness 0.050 and displayed 11.3:1....talking building a safe engine PM3 vs P29 which one would be the best option?

Plenty of z6's using p29's....you will have detonation issues at first, once its tuned it will disappear. Did you use the search and read through a couple of threads on it before making this one?

Maybe that is not the right question....what i am trying to know if that those 2 compression ratios with P29 or PM3 are safe....that is what i cannot find online they are only talking about to build an engine for racing, no matther what if the engine blow you know...i just want an engine for daily driving and also a engine that i can go to the track but almost what i really wanna know is if that is a safe compression ratio.

And you're doing this for what kind of gain? Got numbers? Is that amount of compression doable on pump gas? Just asking because it doesn't seem worth it for a daily.

Mmm by daily i meant to have a car with a safe engine but it doesnot matter if double on pump gas, i think to be around of 140whp will be happy....but the engine be safety you know...pretty much to have a good built engine

If you don't get it tuned then I suppose it won't be reliable with that kind of compression.

Oh yes of course the engine will tune definetely, i just wanna know if that compression ratio was safe for a d16z6

Just maintain your car. You're obviously pushing it past it's stock limits. Kinda late to wonder about what is safe. Your job after the fact is to make sure it's in perfect operating condition.
