Default p28 and smog...

How many of you have successfully passed smog with a chipped P28 ecu? If you have what program were you running? What upgrades? I know smog standards vary from state to state, so if you in Cali I'd really appreciate your input.

Im running a skunk2 chip on my p28 and it will not NOT pass smog. Car has a stock B16a with only i/h/e, itr manifold. The car just runs too rich. I've tried turning down the fuel pressure with no success.

I think you just answer your own question
reprogramed p28 are race application only, the fuel map has been change
for higher lifting cams....... skunk2 cams in this case

x2 with this eprom probably running to rich, probably your best chance is to run a chip with the stock basemap for a b16a. if all you have is I/H/E, you'll probably run better anyway.

+1 You don't need a chipped ECU for I/H/E on a B Series. Just grab a stock ECU.
