P1457 Cel code - Evap issues
P1457 Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) Control System Leakage (EVAP Canister System)
I think there was a topic already started on this, but the search feature just couldn't find it...
Anyway... My car keeps throwing a P1457 code, and only this code. If it is cleared, i have been able to drive it for 60 miles, or even up to 160 miles before the light comes back on. It almost seems like the fuel tank has to go below half, but need more testing on that theory.
I have replaced the shut off vent on the top of the canister. nogo.
Any tips?

What motor in what car?
One really easy fix for this is replace the gas cap, because it's obvious that it's not keeping pressure anymore. If you do have a swap, however, please let me know what you've got ... I've got an EVAP code issue on my OBD2A B18B1 swap, but that's because the ECU looks for an FTP sensor, and my gas tank doesn't have one.

Chances are it's your gas cap. If you have a friend with a newer Honda (96-2001 Civic or Integra), borrow their gas cap. Turn it so it clicks at least three times. Clear your codes, and then see what's up.

Dont know why i'm so forgetful... I have replaced the Gas cap (with a honda OEM).
I get the feeling there will be some sort of leak test on my fuel tank in my future
