Default Overheating on a 93 ex

So my mom has a 93 ex and I changed the thermostat and the radiator and flushed the system. The.last thing I did was the thermostat and it was working fine for a couple days and then it started overheating again so my question is do any of you have any ideas as to why this is happening cause I'm not really wanting my mom of all people to pay some outrageous price for someone else to try and fix it ya know so any help would be nice

Thanks everyone

Could also be a blown head gasket.

if theres not any white smoke coming out of the exhaust, check the water pump and posssibly the cooling fans.

White smoke is a poor method to diagnose a blown head gasket. A lot of times there aren't many visable signs, the engine will run fine, no smoke, no coolant mixing with oil, but usually if you take the rad cap off when the engine is cold and start the engine coolant will shoot out of the top of the rad. That said it does blow white smoke you have a pretty confirmed blown headgasket.

+1, I said this to someone earlier this year and was pummeled by ignorant kids on this site who couldn't pour **** out of their boot if directions were on the heel.

I would take it to a shop at this point if you're not familiar with procedures in which you have to detach the head from the block. If it doesn't turn out to be your pump, and you took off the head, you'll have to re-time it and tension your belts again, and if you've never done that, have someone walk you through it.

why thank you for all of you responses

1.no it is not puffing out white smoke
2.i just replaced the radiator like two weeks ago and have been checking the fluids daily(a.k.a. been turning the motor on with the rad cap off to see if coolant is being cycled through to see if i need to add more) for her and have the radiator cap off and havent noticed any coolant spitting out even if its cold but ill check again just to make sure.
3.i am very capable of doing the water pump and replace the head gasket if nessicary so that shouldnt be a problem.

but all in all i really appreciate all of your help i will go check these things a.s.a.p. and get back to you guys on it so if you who responded could keep a look out ill post again and let you know what if any of the ideas worked
