OEM VX rear diffuser installation?
OK, I thought this was going to be stupidly simple to do, but I ran into a snag and was hoping you guys can verify I'm on the right track.
I got the VX diffuser from Honda the other day, but they only gave me a screw, a grommet, and 1 clip to attach it. I went to install it and found where the grommet and screw go, but the there are 3 tabs on the bumper (as well as 3 slots on the diffuser), but only 1 clip. I did some searching on H-T and found that I was apparently supposed to get 3 clips, not just one. So I bought 2 more clips.
So now I'm looking under the bumper and trying to figure out how these clips attach to the bumper. The tabs are there, and I'm assuming the clips just slide onto the tabs. But the clips slide aren't snug. I see the insides of the clip have little teeth that bite into whatever they slide onto, so I'm thinking I need to get a pair of pliers and squeeze the clips closed and then slide them on the tabs. Then I pop the diffuser onto the metal clips that are attached to the bumper and screw in the other side into the grommet.
Am I right in my thinking? I just want to be sure because I know it's going to be a real b*tch to get those clips off the bumper tabs if I'm not supposed to do it this way.
Here are a couple of pics of what I'm talking about:

Thanks Deschlong! So did those clips fit snugly on the tabs on your bumper? Mine don't, so I'm thinking I need to squeeze them together with a pair of pliers.

That's pretty tight. I just squeezed them together with a pair of vice grips and installed it. We'll see what this does for my MPG.

Yeah, I had to order 2 more clips from the Honda dealer. Not in stock, but it only took a day or two to get them.

As Deschlong stated, I was underwhelmed. I'll let you know how the trap speeds are at the track.
