Newbie heir to 97 civic dx but NO TACH! How to get one?
Hey all, newbie with probable newbie question so be nice pleez. I just acquired a 97 Civic DX with manual tranny and the thing has no tach. What options do I have as far as installing an instrument cluster that has one? Are there any laws that would prohibit me from swapping guage clusters (ie: odometer tampering)? I've been turning wrenches for a long time on jeeps, but am new to the import mod scene so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

you can swap one in from a 96-00 EX, SI, CTR, SIR, CRV, (did I forget any guys?) They all plug and play, your car is prewired for a tach.

How about that...this site has a 'search' option...guess my dumb a$$ coulda saved you all some time but THANKS A TON FOR THE ADVICE!! Didn't know it came prewired...that'll save me some ache. Cool forum btw...and thanks again!
