Default Need a How-To for replacing broken wheel stud.

I broke one of my wheel studs on the front right wheel. Car is a 99 DX. Most of the previous write ups are all dead and pictures don't work.

Can I just hammer out the old and impact a new one on (washers/lug nut), after taking the brakes off...?
