when i bought my car it came with a aftermarket jensen radio/cd/mp3 player and it was poorly connected and when you run over a bump the cd would skip so i decided to rewire it the proper way so i went to the junkyard to get the oem connecter off a 91-93 da(previous owner cut it off and just connect radio wires with dash wires.) and i went to walmart to get a honda harness that would connect to the oem one i got at the junkyard. the walmart honda harness went fine together with the radio wires but i had trouble with the oem connector and the wires from the indash. i matched all the colors together everything matched except one wire i think was the antenna. the oem connector i got from junkyard was yellow w/ white like going down it and my wires that came from my dash was solid red?

another problem i had was after i connected everything (expect the antenna one) the radio/cd/mp3 player didnt work? so i played with the wires and i put the battery and ignition to together and it started so i taped both together and the next day when i started my car i noticed the radio would always reset and it drained my battery?

can anyone help me rewire it the right way please? thanks again h-t!

your battery and ignition wires have got to be seprate. the battery wire is a constant 12v feed to the radio to hold memory and the ignition is the switch on point so mixing them up can do damage to car and radio! hope this diagram may help!
