yo, can someone please explain what the generations mean, for example a 4th gen. eg is dif. from a 6th gen. in what ways, thank you

Umm.....no?? Those are the "JDM" chassis codes, and what most of the people on here refer to the 5th and 6th gens as. BauleyCivic has done a writeup on what each of the seperate chassis' and trim lines are specifically, but I'm not searching for it. This has been covered before.

Yes, some of the EG hatches are EH2s, and some are EH3s I believe.

A generation is basically each style of a specific model car .. so 88-91 was 4th generation, then the design changed to the 92-95 style, which is the 5th generation, then in 96-00 it went to 6th gen, and 01+ is the 7th gen.

The USDM Si is the EH3, while all the other hatches (CX, DX, VX) are EH2.
