Search for p1259. I got 16 replies. There are a few things it can be such as oil pressure, VTEC solenoid, etc. I'm not sure if this code is specific to that or not. But, there are threads out there on it, and I'm sure some answers. Check that out.

try searching in archived content and in post bodies. don't use default settings in the search function you'll find nothing.

is your VTEC working ??

i dont think that the codes would be the same because 96 and up is all OBD 2 and you said that your pulling OBD 1 codes

i may be wrong

well ok this is what happens when im goin off to back up to college, the friendly entrance ramp comes, car is all up to temp, everythign is good right, ok 1st year ease into WOT, vtec works no lag at all, enter 2nd, goin through the normal rpms reach vtec, depending on my luck it kicks over and i got more and continuous power, if it dont kick over its like the RPMs just take forever to get to redline and its like a run out of power, so i shift early, and usually let off at the speed limit. but where it really gets effed up is 4th gear, o man i thought i blew my engine 1st time it happened, 4th gear idk wat rpms but id guess around 5000 somthin and then its like it pegs the rev limiter hard and i am usuaally like F$#% and clutch in and let off, and im usually goin pretty fast cause shift points are 1st gear=around 35mph 2nd=around 60 3rd=around 90 4th= umm haha i tihnk like 125, but anyways after the hard peg get into 5th gear, if i go to rev with the clutch in or in neutral, its like its hittin the rev limiter hard around 4300 rpm, and the CEL comes on but thats ONLY if the car is laggin like vtech IS NOT kickin in. this is related to the code i know but what is causing it????????????????
