My d15b8 will only fire on cylinders #3 and #4
I have a 93 civic cx, Its a bone stock d15b8. Today I removed the head to replace a blown head gasket. After installing the new hasket and putting it all back togather it will only fire on cylinders 3and4. I only had a book that listed the firing orders for a 90 civic 1.5l 16valve. The book told me that cylinder #1 was on the timing belt side, so I timed it accordingly and found it would notrun for ****. I re-timed using cylinder #1 as the dizzy side and found the same issue.
If I get the car to idle i can pull both plug wires from the 2 cylinders on the drivers side off completly and the car doesn't skip a beat. I put brand new plugs in, checked the plug wires for spark, they had perfect spark, and I also checked those 2 cylinders for compression and fuel and they have plenty of both.
If someone could help with this it would be greatly apreicated. I would also like to know the firing order and what the marks on the crank pully mean. Thanks
