Re: More comfortable seats for an EG Hatch?
I don't doubt they are more comfortable, but I can't afford a JDM price gouged seat just because it's "type R dawg" to some people. I could buy some used real recaros for that price from our track friends. I would rather compromise for something more realistic and obtainable, but I appreciate the feedback at least.
Sorry I should have been more clear.
The JDM Recaros that came in the ITR and CTR are real Recaros. The advantage is, they bolt right into our cars with OEM Recaro rails and sliders, and since there was so many made, they go for quite cheap on the used market. You can usually find a set for $600-$700 depending on condition. Yeah, that might seem like a chunk of change, but remember when you are done with the car and ready to sell it, you can always just put the OEM crap seats back in, and sell the Recaros for 90% of what you bought them for, so you'll only end spending like $100 to have Recaros in the car while you own it.

I've got the red ones from 2LEM's post. Can confirm they're very comfortable and I paid $600 for them about 5 years ago. I've got a 32 waist and the bolsters are fairly tight on me so I wouldn't recommend them if you're much bigger.

I don't know how expensive they are in your area but I bought a 93 hatch with RSX type s seats and love the way they feel.

Password JDM has 1 black pair near mint that they want 1700 for.
It's 800-1200 USD as far as I can tell in today's market.
This might be a better option even with the 300 dollar shipping cost:

Re: More comfortable seats for an EG Hatch?
I put EP3R seats in my eg civic, difference is night and day. Had to mount them onto DC2R rails. The stock seats in EGs are worn down. Considering the EG is 20~ years old and the EP3R is ~15 years. The seats have held up alot better.
