Im actually certified by the state for mold and bleach is fine for 90% of molds you will encounter.

I stand corrected, bleach will work according to this certified guy.

some of those websites were hardly credible resources. I used to work as a paint manager at a hardware store, now I only work there part time. I was fully trained on house paint, prep and techniques. As well as helped pick product and keep a full stock on cleaning items. Anything that claimed to kill mold or mildew well had a bleach somewhere in it.
Sure we had a few products that didnt for those picky customers... but those picky customers also would come back and complain a few months later that the product did not work.

Through not only consumer and professional feedback, but through personal use, I can tell you bleach is the most effective way of killing mold or mildew.

I may not be certified but 4 1/2 years at a hardware store has told me a lot about many of todays products and how they perform.

Now let me tell you about this one woman who was using muriatic acid to clean her windows (without a mask or gloves)... we refused to sell the stuff to her when we found out. They dont put skull and cross bones on it for no reason.

I was very frustrated with this mold **** but finally, find a reliable solution.
Let me help you out!
You should pick the cleaner according to the material of the steering.
hard plastic is easier to clean than leather stuff. Here is a detailed guide on cleaning it: https://www.carsflow.com/steering-wheel-cleaner.html
