Re: mini swap???? (diewnaylomoah)
I'm assuming you mean mini-me, which is a name given to someone swapping the y8 head onto their y7 motor to gain vtec and about 20 hp. Since you have a y8, this wouldnt be possible. Unless you want to take your y8 head off, and put it back on..

Re: mini swap???? (SoHc Ej1)
im pretty sure ur gonna need a new dizzzy, ur ecu has to be able to run vtec, and ur wireing harness has to be compatable w\ ur ecu, so if ur ecu is already good chances are ur dizzy is alredy good,

the y8 came on the 96-00 ex. the z6 came on the 92-95 civic ex and si, and the del sol. either one will work, and there are arguments for both. i would personally go with a y8, since it would be off of the same generation as my car.

here is a write up on everything you need to know about the MINI-ME swap, you can read about both Z6 and Y8 and decide from there which to choose but in my opinion, i would choose the Y8 based on the fact that everything i read and heard, the Z6 sounded more problematic and also the Y8 is from a newer gen. civic so you could prolly find a used one in better condition with less miles put to it. .
