Default mini me in progress

i am currently doing a mini me swap in my 95 civic. i have a d16y8 head off of a 97 civic ex and a d15b7 block from a 93 dx. i just wanted to know what distributor i should use because the y8 plug ins are different and the b7 bolt holes do not line up. also i wanted to know if i should use a y8 timing belt or a z6 timing belt. any help would be much appreciated.

when i got the y8 head i also got the manifold with it and i was wondering if it flowed any better than the z6 manifold. also i noticed there is no place for an intake air temp sensor. is that because they are different obd and an obd2 doesnt need one? and can i still use the y8 manifold without throwing a cel?

According to the myth, the Y8 intake manifold is the best OEM d-series manifold. On my Y8, the IAT sensor was on the stock intake arm. When I boosted it, I drilled it into the intake manifold. If you're going to install it properly, now is the time - when it's not installed.

the y8 flows much better i know because i have this on my jdm d15b as for the iat the sensor is on the manifold on obd1 cars and on the intake for obd2 cars i just extended the wires for the plug and as for the actuall sensor i took it out of my old manifold and drilled a hole into my intake piping and siliconed it into place works great also when u do the swap be sure to plug the cruise control lines or u will get a vacumm leak and bad idle

Ha, so I'm not the only one who forgot to plug this line in. After I changed my headgasket, I drove around for an hour before I realized what I forgot.
