Metal Scraping Noise During Right Turns

Metal Scraping Noise During Right Turns
Hi guys.
1999 Civic sedan, Manual Transmission, 88,000 miles
All of a sudden.......I start to back my Civic out of the driveway, and it made a loud (nasty sounding), intermittant, metal scraping noise while moving.
Moved it up and down the street a bit, and it slowly went away. That was last night.
I went for a ride today, and I have a metal scraping noise on right turns, which is not very loud, and is intermittant.
Coming from passenger side, front wheel area.
Using the brakes does not cause the sound.
I took the tire off, and everything seems tight and rigid to me when I yanked on it ...... suspension parts, steering parts, brake caliper, knuckle/hub, and the axle shaft and joint.
The brake pads are fairly new, and seem to have alot of wear left, and the rotors are smooth.
The noise happens going forward and reverse.
I guess I'll take apart that brake and put it back together just to see.
I sure hope it is nothing inside the manual transaxle, differential.
Any ideas? Thanks. Jim

Splash shield???
A little crazy stone strayed in to braking system?
Differential, axles, joints do not make noises like that...
It is your rotor/shield/pads/wheel combination... look for stones, dirt, rust (especially) and check splash shield clearance...
