For what purpose? Sounds like a dumb idea if you ask me.

This is on topic. This subject keeps coming up as if maybe this time the answers will be different. There is no benefit to doing it. There is nowhere near enough weight savings to be had to even begin to make a difference.

But if you HAVE to know you can sacrifice a measly couple of hours and answer your own question. As a matter of fact you probably could have done it by now. Interiors are not that hard to remove. And you have a Civic sedan. How much faster do you think you'll get with a stripped interior? Hint. Not at all.

What? You asked about removing the interior and how much weight it would shave off BUT you don't know where to start IN the interior? What? If this is a drag car then strip out everything. Even I've seen pictures of that.

stock weight on my 1995 civic dx was 2250. alot lighter than a si hatch.

i remvoed my spare tire with kit, ac, powersteering, abs, have lighter rims, light exhaust, supercharged b18c, no trunk carpet and gas on empty my car weighed around 2100. if i swap out the windows for lexan i could hit 1850, throw carbon doors, hood, trunk, fenders and it would be under 1800.

there is a stock civic weight list on here somewhere.

That's a lot of stuff being removed to get that weight reduction. Short of Lexan windows, it looks like just removing an interior will have no real effect.

when i said i dont know where to start deducting weight i meant as in i dont know what the car weighs with a h2b so i cant just do the math and and subtract seats, panels melal and etc to come up with a estimated number of what it would weigh if i gutted it and cut it up
