hey, just like the title says, my low beams dont seem to be working but my highbeams do.. i checked both low beam fuses under the dash (96 ek dx) and the one under the hood.. everything seems to be fine.. wat else could it be?

It's unlikely that both bulbs would be bad, but it's worth checking out.

As said above, your combination switch could be on the fritz (your turn signal/headlight/wiper switch). Borrow one from a friend or neighbor, and test it out. If that turns out to be the culprit, then it's about a $40 part used on ebay.

my mom had this same problem in her ranger after i installed an aftermarket radio.
replaced all the bulbs and it turned out that i had knocked the handle to where the high beams were on. moved the arm lever thing back to normal position and the low beams worked. try that

bulbs are fine... i said my highbeams work so obviously the bulb is fine its the same bulb..

How do your low beams 'not seem to work'? Either there is some bright *** light in your eyes or not...

If its not the bulbs, check the rear of the housing/bulbs to make sure they are plugged in.

get a volt meter and test if there is current coming out of the switch by the steering column, if there ism then its somewhere in between the switch and the bulbs. this will also avoid having to fit a new multiswitch in and hope that works

There are two filaments in the bulb, a low beam filament and a high beam filament. One filament (such as the low beam) can burn out while the other still works.

believe it or not on my eg6 (jdm) there is a seperate fuse for each pair of filaments..ie there is a fuse for the low beams and a fuse for the high beams. check your fuses. this happened to me before,this is when i discovered the second fuse. id put money on it that thats your problem.

welli checked both low beam fuses under the dash and they both seem to be working... checked the headlight fuse under the hood works fine... i recently checked the plugs that plug into my headlights.. i used that thing u ground to sumthing and touch the other thing to a terminal and it lights up if theres power.. so i did that on the plugs and on the right side i had my low beams on and touched it to the terminal and i got nothing, turned my high beams on a touched the other side i got power.. went to the left headlight and did the same thing but the low beam side seems to have power and the highbeam as well... reasons for this?

When you or I figure this out I'll be happy... Same thing happing to a 93 civic dx, I have.. all lights work except the right side low,,,, The connector was all fucted up... it pretty much crumbled in my hands.. ( BTW: that test thing you used is called a test light) I'm thinking theres a open in the wiring somewhere.. POS car,,,,,, thats going such(EDIT: SUCK) to troubleshoot,,,
