I have a 2000 Ex with a b16A, and when i turn the A/C on i get a loud wine from under the passanger side dash, it will come on for 1 sec, then go off, then 2-3min later it will come back and wine, then go off, same thing, over and over, i peeked underthere and can hear it but cant tell where its coming from, its only with the A/c on.. and it only wines for a seconed then goes off, then 1 min later it will wine loud again.. Any help would be great. Thanks!!!

sounds like you have a leaf or something stuck in the blower. Is it when the fan is on, or just when the AC is on?

You have issues with your AC evaporator. This may be an easy fix or expensive depending on what is causing it to make the noise. Could be as simple as a faulty, loose, or noisy ThermalSwitch, or as expensive as a damaged or failing Exap core.

Re: (B16CivicEX)
You need to remove the bottom Evap cover and see if its just a loose Theroswitch. I think you can access it that way. I am not sure if you can disconnect it with the system charged or not. Its a little tube like thing with leads on it. It should be pressed between the fins of the Evap core. What this does is sense the temp of the Evap core and when it reaches a certain cool temp it shuts the compressor off. Oce things heat up again it switches the compressor on and the cycle begins again. It sounds like you have a noisey one. You'll have to see if you can disconnect it without discharging the system. If so its not an expensive part.
