Default Looking to buy an Exhaust system for my EJ6. Whats a nice DEEP sounding one?

I currently have a Stock EJ6. Well its not really stock, suspension is all done, ITR 5 lug, Interior, Lips front and back, looking pretty good so far. Ill have a picture thread going soon after it comes out the booth from paint, but anyways my question is, I have a stock engine right now, D16Y7, Weakkkk I know, but plans are to get a K series going February of 2008. For now however I wanna get some sound into the car, cuz it looks kinda...wrong lowered, with lips and ****, and a stock exhaust... And no I dont wanna go for a tip, I find em so....urgh I dont want the "stick your tounge out and blow" kinda sound lol, Im looking for a nice deeep tone, yes with that stock engine for now.

Im thinking of going Skunk2 Mega Power R exhaust...
http://www.skunk2.com/Exhaust/...megar

Tell me what you think of this exhaust...
Any better options, I want a nice deep tone, and I also want one that will be compatible with my K swap... Not sure if Engine really matters which exhaust you have thats why Im asking... But anyways I want a deep tone, one that is good with K series, and one that will give me the biggest gain in power (For the K, dont care about the D) Or that will "Free" up the most power, which ever way you wanna put it.

Budget: Up to $1200 (If there are more expensive ones, let me know, I'll see what I can do.) Something I hate is cheaping out on my car, I rather save up and buy later, then hurry and buy NOW!

Seeing's how you live in Toronto

Head down to Brampton and Get Paul/John from Splitfire to make you a custom 2.5" cat back with the Vibrant Stealth black muffler.

Costs about $600

best way to go is home-made unless you have the cash to get a bolt on

I bought a tsudo 2.5 catback for my hatch because it was a fantastic deal. After putting it on I was totally expecting it to sound like the definition of "rice", but to my surprise it actually has a nice, deep tone. Even when its pushed in the high rpm range it still doesnt sound like someone farting through a trumpet.

there's a lot of differen't things to do to accomplish this.

Most tanabe setups sounds very nice.

Megan drift spec is a good one to look in to.

Every skunk2 exhaust I've heard sounded ricey.

I agree with this man above me, specially about every Skunk2 Exhaust. (Sorry I don't know how to quote. )

But also, try out the Apexi N1. I am using it and it sounds pretty good. I regret it in some ways tho. I would of rather built a custom one and throw on the N1 Muffler

Try searching for some sound clips. Theres probably a million around.
Good Luck.

If you want something that looks nice, and is not loud at all, but still has a nice deep tone.. Get an Apexi World Sport 2 catback. I have one on my 00 si, and I love it. Not RICEY AT ALL, sounds nice and deep. People compare the tone/loudness to a 350z or a G35 for some reason. They can be bought for fairly cheap as well. You can find them for about $500-600.

Also in regards to my last post about the WS2.. Here's two video clips of the WS2.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJanJpfwwis

What I do when I want to hear exhaust tones is just search for it on youtube. You will always find a bunch of clips of almost every exhaust

RSR, APEXI, Spoon, Tanabe are all in the $500-600 range.

That's about as expensive as they get until you get to the bling brands like Comptech which aren't exponentially better than any of the latter.

The best exhaust system for civics is what I am running. Not to brag but everyone thinks my car is turbo and its not.....yet. It is clean and VERY VERY DEEP. there is no exhaust video online that will do it justice. Even the civic HKS hi power video doesnt come close.

I am running a custom midpipe assembly to a custom axleback to a HKS Carbon Titanium Turbo muffler. Yes this thing is huge. The same one that you see on supra and skylines. However it looks perfect on coupes.

Tanabe Hyper medallion is a great deep sounding exhaust that is noticeable, but not so loud it drives you crazy. Looks great to
