Knock sensor
So I did a rebuild on my Y8 an it turned out great. Im having a issue with my car idling at 2grand. I checked the map, tps, IAC and all vacuum hoses. Everything was fine. My car keeps throwing a code for the knock sensor. When I plug my OBD to the car an clear the code the idle calms down. But after a while the light come back on an starts to idle at 2grand. The curious to kno if a knock sensor can actually cause this issue. Here are a few pics from the build just to share with everyone.

Re: Knock sensor
Go to junkyard> pull knock sensor> pay $10 for it> install it and hope it fixes the idle issue... Doesn't seem like a part that would cause high idle but best to replace if it's causing a CEL. Read: http://www.ehow.com/facts_7680413_kn...-problems.html
Also, check the vacuum line that connects from the cruise control to the intake manifold... may have disconnected at the intake side. Congrats on your rebuild.

Re: Knock sensor
Yeah, they do. Knock sensor is standard issue OBD2. It's in the usual location right above the oil filter.
OP, make sure to get one from another Y8. They are not all the same even if they look it.
