Default k24/k20 ?????????????????????????????????????? should i do it?

too late! heres my build

the reason why i went with the crv block is becuase of the lack of oil squirters, for this build an accord or TSX variant would require either the removal or modification of the oil squiters that are found under the piston. (same as those found in b16 and other b series engines)

the previous owner of the block had a k20a2 oil water cooler on it, he stated it was a simple modification that required a trip to the machine shop.

the block also has a k20a2 oil pump. and aluminum oil pan. this allowed removal of the balencer shafts, and stamped steel pan of the k24. the longer windage tray from the rsx-s engine was also added. for details on why most people do this check out k20a.org.

the aluminum oil pan of the 2.0L engine also is rumored to have a superior cooling effect on the oil

the main reason this pan is being used are the extra mounting spots for the k20 transmisson, which will be a modified 02-04 rsx-s 6 speed

the hondata gasket was supposed to add like 2 horsepower, due to the intake manifold heatsinking or someshit. i just needed an intake manifold gasket.

a HONDA 06-07 si RBC intake manifold will be used in this swap. its supposed to be the highest flowing k series intake manifold aval. i dont know how credible that is, but i can get one for cheap. mated with a karcepts throttle body adapter and a BDL 70mm throttle body

acura RDX injectors 410cc injectors are going to be used..............

the head will be from a k20a/2/z3 (all the same casting)
skunk2 parts will be added to the bare head along with their cams

the turbo manifold is going to be a hand built unit by me

flywheel will be some sort of lightweight flywheel. this car isnt a daily so before you comment on it, check out the accord

k20z3 (14540-RAA-A01) timing chain guide guide (its longer) for 15 bucks its not a bad upgrade

the bracket needed to place the k24 engine inside my engine bay using k20 swap mounts was purchased

for the build i needed a k20 crank pulley/engine dampener, that was also purchased

rest of the things i purchased are self explantory.

as of right now the motor is out the wire harness is out and the spot welds are getting drilled

i m using the older all aluminum style hybrid racing mounts for the eg/dc. the one without that flimsy sheet metal.

i'm at work right now, but tonight when i get home i hope to have the radiator relocation bracket fabbed up and the pass side mount off

still need

as of right now. tonight im near 8-9 grand maybe.........plus more for my old turbo setup but then i craiglisted alot of compontes from the chassis like most of the interior, the spare tire, the engine, mounts, ecu and wiring harness. axels etc so im kind of even ish on the mounts and intake manifold, oh ya and k20a.org is reallly helpful with the used parts

alot of people forget the **** you can part out when doing a swap like this LOL but its fun

this doesnt look like a build thread...what it looks like is someone copying some list and articles from some mag/website and pasting them on here...look at how the paragraph starts out and how sentences start. Its missing alof of the begining it seems like he copy pasted what he wanted.

i call bs...

and then there are all these 07s that dont know better...

So you're telling me you haven't thought of what turbo to put on? But you know what turbo manifold you want? You're build i guess, doesn't seem logical but hey you are the one forking out the mega bucks. Speaking of mega bucks, i'm still trying to figure out why someone would put that much money into a honda. **** i have a honda and i just can't grasp why anyone would do so.
