I think you're in the wrong thread.This is for the 96-2000 D15b.Not the 92-95 d15b.If you run that ecu the motor will only run in 12v mode.

I have a 3 stage d15b in my civic ...I was asking if the p08 will run the fuel maps and ignition timing. I got the wiring done already..I'm not trying to search for a p2j ecu

I'm wondering where in this thread that you didn't read did anyone ever mention that a P08 or an ECU chipped with P08 maps would even work?

Yes it will run but you will stuck in 12v mode but giving it fuel for 16v mode.P2J ecu isn't hard to find anymore.I sold one for $160 and bought one for $160 in the last few weeks.ALN in irving TX has one for sale p2j-J11 for $100 I think.A guetto set up like you're trying might work better with fuel maps for a 12v civic if one exists.Now if you can get vtec to work like I did temporarily on a 98 ex ecu you will have 12v mode then 16v wild cam vtec mode after 5500 rps.You won't have regular 16v mode before vtec so the vtec kicks in loud as hell.Some have hooked up a way to trigger the 16v regular mode with a switch or solenoid but I have never witnessed this live.LOL

I run mine on a 98 EX d16y8 ecu to pass TX inspection.It runs OK in 12v mode and 16v mode only in vtec at 5500 rps. I hook up both 4 wire O2 sensors and bypass the vtec oil pressure sensor with a wiring trick.I then hook up my OBD2 scanner and leave it plugged in as I drive 50-75 miles and it says all systems are ready except Evap and the cat (cat was burned up on my car). You can still pass in TX with two not readies on a 96-2000 car.Only one not ready is allowed on a 2001 and up car in TX.Since I have an EG evap on my EK the Evap system always says "not ready". Then I pass easy every time.You gotta be careful though cause I drove it over 100 miles after I got my sticker and the cel came on for the EVAP and the Fuel Tank sensor.So you can pass inspection at about 50 miles to 75 miles.Just don't go over 100 miles since the cel will come on after 100 miles for those two sensors later.You could avoid this by using a obd2a purge canister and having the right gas tank sensor.I think my gas tank is missing it since I replaced it with a sedan one from the junk yard.I'm not sure what kind of MPG you will get running a 16v ecu and the motor being stuck in 12v mode.I never drove a full tank out with the ex ecu to measure it.

Hi everyone i bought and swap my engine into d15b 3stage vtec with its own harness and ecu p2j 003 after which the engine run without check engine in my dash but engine sometimes drop rpm and smoke at the exhaust smell like unburn gas..
I check for the cel code and it appears number 2 which tells secondary o2 sensor but during running there was no check engine light
My question is does this engine require secondary 02 sensor? I only see single wire O2 sensor and i check ecu pin A5 and A6 is blank and no wire in to it only at D7 has a wire that goes to single wire o2
Somebody please help me with this project

J61 is obd2a auto ecu if car is obd2a auto it should not be a problem. If manual or obd2b, wires will have to be changed around and will have to be repinned. Im not sure which since its been years but they are in this thread or you can buy a conversion harness. D15b 3 stage uses a single wire O2 sensor. I believe narrow band. Oem is extremely hard to find and costly luckily mine is still holding up after ten plus years however you can simple use a common cheap denso d series y7 y8 4 wire O2 up or downstream sensor matching up both thicker white grounded single wires and it will work just fine disregarding the other three. Of course making sure the other end is pinned into the correct pin in the plug corresponding to the ecu. In short, triple check your wiring and make sure everything is pinned correctly and making contact. Using a y7 harness and D15b harness I first disassembled both and rewired my harness twice before all bugs were worked out from loose connections, adding multiple wires/grounds to repinning it was a lot of wiring with limited information to go from but luckily this thread was great help. FYI the jdm d15b factory service manual and Russian d15z7 fsm have all the wiring diagrams with English labels you will have to do some googling to find them bit the are out there along with this thread you should be able to get it working correctly. Good luck resolving your code problems.
