Injector ticking
Hey it sounds like my injectors are clicking, they are pretty old, so i'm wonderign if there is an easy way to quiet them down a bit. Does the fuel injector cleaner shik work.
I think its the injectors cuz the sounds comming off the fuel raill area not the valve cover,
So do i need new injectors, or can i just run some cleaner and wait for them to totally fail. How hard are they to replace? engine is d16z6 with about 120000 miles on it

Ticking injectors is perfectly normal, yours aren't that old. They will be just fine for a very long time. As far as adding something to the fuel to quiet them down, every product on the shelf claims they are 100% effective or whatever, but in my experience they do mostly nothing but drain your wallet.

Your question has been answered. By bumping, you'll only get n00bs or other people with opinions or misinformation chiming in and confusing the issue.
If you want to use a fuel system cleaner (which won't quiet the injectors btw) use Chevron Techron or Seafoam in the gas tank. Those are the ones that I've found to work well.

I agree.
There is some awsome fuel injector cleaner that GM makes. Its like 15 bux a bottle and you cant use it too often cause it will "eat" your injectors. You can't get it off the shelf in a parts store you have to go to GM. Also I wouldnt recommend you use anything without being positive it won't do more harm than good.
Oh also if the engine doesn't miss don't worry about it. Don't try to fix what isn't broken. Just be sure its not valve noise (adjustment)

if you went to a shop, maybe the guy did something wrong and that's why you're hearing clicking all of a sudden. probably not, but i would double check his work myself.
