How to wire bosch universal o2 sensor?

How to wire bosch universal o2 sensor?
The universal sensor has 4 wires, 2 white, 1 grey, and 1 black....The stock honda sensor has 2 black, 1 white, and 1 green....im assuming it would go something like this, correct?

green - grey
black - white
black - white
white - black
New /OEM
green - grey

white - black

Take the universal one back and tell them to give you one made for your car. Its much easier that way, plus you dont have to worry about possibly wiring it wrong.

jus installed a bosch uni today but mine had 1 white, 1 blue, and 2 blacks. is yours universal or the oem bosch. it should say it on the manual that came with it. i think it would go
oem=bosch
white=black
black=white
green=gray
oem=bosch
white=black
black=white
green=gray

I have a Bosch Universal...No problems at all...I just put crimp caps on them...no tape or nothing...

I would seriously just buy a used Honda OEM 02 sensor from the classifieds forum. This is one part I would not ever go aftermarket on. I did once, and regretted it. I wasted 80 bucks and a couple of weeks.

from memory I'm almost positive that's right. I don't know why people have had so many problems with the Bosch universal sensor. The only difference between the Bosch universal and the Bosch one made for your car is the plug. A narrowband O2 is all the same. Buying the correct honda sensor with the right plug is like 2 or 3 times as much. I've been thru 3 of these bosch O2 sensors now with a few civics and never had a problem. I'm usually able to get the bosch ones for $40 or so. Bosch is definitely quality. They all run the same voltage so I don't see the problem.
