how to put my honda civic 1998 in Valet mode?
Hello guys,
I have been doing alot of research lately.
I want to put my car in valet mode.
I think that it has been draining my battery.
I had to get my battery replaced another day.
My car has an aftermarket radio too. I don't know where is the stock radio box.
My car has an aftermarket alarm system by: Pursuit
I am not sure which model it is,
however, my key model is:ELVAT5B
I found one of the instruction online saying to turn off the valet mode, you have to find the value switch first.
here is the link I found
Operating Instructions for the Pursuit PRO9244 Car Security System
Here is a possible instruction on how to turn on Valet mode on the system,
I'm not good at cars, however, one of my friends is, however, we could not find the valet switch.
We looked under the dashboard, and we looked at the fusebox, we did not find the valet switch.
I'm stuck, any help would be really appreciated.
thank you all.

- Enter vehicle and turn the ignition key to the "on" position.
- Move the valet toggle switch to the "on" position. The dash mounted LED will turn on solid, and remain on as long as the system is in the valet mode.
- To return to normal operation, move the valet switch to the "off" position any time the ignition is on.
Note: Always remember to move the Valet Switch back to the "off" position. This will ensure that the vehicle remains protected at all times.

Unfortunately, you'll have to locate the brain and verify if there is a valet switched plugged into it. If you brought it to an installer take it back there, if you bought the car with the alarm you're just gonna have to take some time out to locate the brain.

That would be a security issue as most installers don't usually post online where they mount the alarm brain. Best to start digging around under the dash. Be prepared to be cramped, have ample hrs to investigate, and take breaks inbetween.
